The “Withywaffle” is a podcast about the Rings of Power, from a Christian perspective, focusing more on Season 2. If you love the Rings of Power, and you’re really bored, this is for you!

The name “Withywaffle” signifies firstly, this blog, “Up the Withywindle”, and secondly, the amount of “winsome and articulate” (or not so much) waffling that takes place on this podcast.

Episode 1: In which we recall and discuss Season 1 of the Lord of the Rings: the Rings of Power (Apologies for the audio quality!)

Episode 2: In which we discuss episode 1 (“Elven Kings Under the Sky”) of season 2 of the Rings of Power, talk about the trailers a lot, and make theories for the future episodes (Again, apologies, the audio improves somewhat in the next episode)

Episode 3: In which we react to episode 2 (“Where the Stars Are Strange”), discuss manipulation, admire Annatar, and roast Elvish umbrellas.

Episode 4: In which we talk about all the deceptions, spiders, ale, and political instability to be be found in “The Eagle and the Scepter” – episode 3 of the Lord of the Rings: the Rings of Power! (Watch it now on prime video!!!) (Apologies for the innumerable amount of times we say the word “Like”.)

Episode 5: In which we discuss episode 4, “Eldest”, and who it’s named after, appreciate Arondir’s one and only joke ever, and look at some Barrow-wight lore.

Episode 6: In which we react to episode 5 of the Lord of the Rings: the Rings of Power – “Halls of Stone” – full of persecution of the Faithful, greed of the dwarves, depression of Celebrimbor, “Rizz” of Annatar, and Mirdania’s admiration for him.

Episode 7: In which we reflect upon the tranquility and turmoil, pride and prejudice (haha), lovely food, and Annatar’s diet in episode 6 of the Rings of Power: “Where is He?”

Episode 8: In which we mourn the deaths, celebrate the valiance, and adore Mr. Mouse in episode 7: “Doomed to die”. We also attempt to create a three-course meal representing every race of Middle-Earth, but you can judge that for yourself…. (apologies for the continual pen clicking)

Episode 9: In which we are absolutely staggered by the tragedy, hope, evil, good, and smooth Adars to be found in episode 8 of season 2 of the Rings of power: “Shadow and Flame”

The last episode will be here soon!
